  2. No problem! I've always found it handy to have all my go-to links in one spot.

  4. Hi Gerry,
Just go to blogspot.com and create a blog. Give it a name and pick out a template and play with the different backgrounds and such. I adjust the widths (in the design area under template).

Once you have the "look" want for the site, start adding things while in the layout mode (along the left side after going into the design mode which is always at the top right) by clicking "add gadget" on each area. Once in there, you will see things to choose from. I use mainly:
HTML - used for any outside widgets - like the temperature listing on the right. If you want to create your own, just click on the widget to go to the site and look for a button that says create widget (or along those lines) and pick whatever layout you want. Be sure to make note of the size though....that's where you will want to adjust any widths on your template Design ->templates->customize->adjust widths. Whenever you create an external widget, there will be an area to cut the HTML code. Just cut and paste it into the HTML area in the gadget.
IMAGE - find an image you want to use (I use google images A LOT!) Right click on it and select "copy image url". Now paste that in the appropriate area within the IMAGE gadget. There will be an area that you can put in whatever webpage to link it up to. Examples on this page are the Rough Seas, CC Roll Call and Meet and Mingle sign up - I just used images I found and linked them to the correct page.
LINK LIST - I use this a lot - it can be seen on the right side of the page with all the ports listed. Each one that has a title (like Ship Info, Cool Stuff, Pre-Cruise...etc) is a separate link list. You can give your list a title and just add the links and what you want to call each link.

What takes the most time is playing with the widths when you first get going. You won't know what widths to run at until you start adding the any external widgets.

I know this is rather lengthy and I hope I'm not scaring you away from it. Blogspot is very user friendly once you get the hang of where everything is.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me!

  5. I'd also like to note, that although this may seem like a lot of work, it really isn't. I just add things as I come across them. Like, today, someone posted a question re: what is Bernards so I added the link here under St. Maarten, as well as another company I know of in St. Thomas (Godfrey). It literally took me less than a minute to add both links.

  6. Suggestion - St Thomas take the water taxi to Water Island Honeymoon beach $5 each way per person
Sr. Maarten - take bus $2 per person each way to Maho Beach and watch the planes land
